New Requirements for Company Directors

Are you a Company Director? Director ID’s are a new requirement, are you ready?

Recent legislation introduced requires all company directors to obtain a personal director identification number (‘Director ID’).

The ID number is 15 digit unique identifier and all existing directors must apply by the 30th November 2022. Individuals becoming a director between 1st November 21 & 4th April 22 must apply within 28 days of appointment and from the 5th April 2022, directors must apply before their appointment.

To obtain the Directors ID can go to the ABRS website  and scroll down and select ‘Apply for your director ID’.
